Four killed in N’ganj incidents

Police yesterday recovered bodies of four persons including a woman from different areas of the district.
The bodies were recovered from Araihazar, Bandar, Siddhirgonj and Fatulla thana area, police said.
A person identified as Suruj Mia, 40, was beaten to death by rivals at Maridia area of Araihazar thana centering over a land related dispute. OC of Araihazar thana Nazrul Islam said they are trying to nab the killers.
Siddhirgonj thana police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Mizmizi area with marks of injuries on different parts of the body.
Police suspected that the miscreants killed the youth in another place and left the body at Mizmizi area.
OC of Siddhirgonj thana Selim Mia said, they are trying to trace the identity of the youth. At Kaitakhali area of Bandar thana a youth named Mishar, 25 was killed over previous enmity.
Police arrested three persons in this connection. Police said, Mishar, son of Tukku Sikder of Kaitakhali area, was an expatriate and returned home few days ago and joined a private company.
were injured after being struck by lightning while working in a mango orchard in Baganbari village of Baliadangi at 2:30pm, said Officer-in-Charge of Baliadangi Police Station Mosadderul Haque.
The deceased were identified as Nurul Islam, 35, son of Bappa Mohammad; Rabiul Islam, 27, son of Abdul Karim; and Abdul Zabbar, 45, of Jagadal village in Ranisankail upazila.
The injured were taken to the Upazila Health Complex.
In a separate incident, a teenager was killed on the spot after he was struck by lightning while collecting ducks from a pond in Alsia village of Ranisankail upazila.
The deceased was identified as Abu Said, 13, son of Mansur Ali, said Abdul Mannan, OC of Ranisankail Police Station.
