Four people were killed as a private car plunged into a road side ditch at Purinda in Araihazar upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Tushar, 27, Pavel, Limon and Ovi.
The accident took place around 6 pm when the Dhaka-bound private car from Narsingdi skidded
off the road and fell into the ditch while saving a child on the road, leaving Tushar dead on the spot and three others injured, said Salam, Sub-Inspector of Araihazar Police Station.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Dhaka where they succumbed to injuries.
