Mirzapur Thana police arrested four inter -district gang of robbers from Karnafuli Knit Factory of Gorai industrial area at the time of committing robbery on Monday night.
They are identified as LiakotHossain son of Zohurul Islam of village Gazaria, RoniHosain son of MajamHossain of village Kutubpurunder Bogra district, TanjilBabuson of Sariful Islam of village Durgacharan of Rangpur district and Abu Hasan son of Mofidul Islam of village Jamalpur under Jamalpur district. Manager of Karnafuli Knit Factory MA Mannan said that robbers raided the factory at 2.30 AM and confined the inmates of the factory captive on gun point and tried to loot. Police was informed of the robbery.
Police encircled the factory in aid of the workers and caught hold of four robbers. Other members of the gang escaped the spot by firing gunshot. Police recovered lethal weapons and some equipmentfrom the spot.
Manager of the factory lodged a case with Mirzapur Police Station, OC Main Uddin said. OC added that the arrestees are the members of inter-district gang of robbers.
