Two rival groups of ruling Awami League’s student front Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Monday afternoon locked in a clash on the Chittagong University (CU) campus that left at least four students injured.
The university sources said the supporters of CU unit of BCL President Alamgir Tipu and General Secretary HM Fazle Rabbi locked in a clash in front of the university’s Shah Jalal Hall around 5:30pm over a trifling matter. Talking to The Daily Observer, CU Proctor Professor Ali Asgar said two rival group of BCL locked in a clash in the afternoon over establishing supremacy on the campus, leaving four students injured.
