Four passengers of a private car were injured as a train hit the vehicle at Malibagh Bazar level crossing in the city on Friday afternoon.
Besides, an unidentified person was crushed to death by another train while crossing Moghbazar level crossing, also in the afternoon.
Assistant sub-inspector Zahidul Islam of Kamalapur Railway Police Station said the Kamalapur-bound train ‘Chattala Express’ from
Chittagong crashed into the private car at the Malibagh Bazar level crossing at around 5pm.
Three passengers of the car were injured in the incident. They were rushed to a local hospital, he added.
In the other incident, a train from Kamalapur Railway Station hit the man when he was trying to cross the rail gate No-15 at Moghbazar.
He died on the spot and his body was separated in two pieces, Zahidul added.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for post mortem.
