Four students of the Institute of Health Economics of Dhaka University (DU) received ‘Director’s Award’ on Wednesday for their outstanding academic performances in BSS and MSS examinations. The recipients are Muhammad Ihsan-ul-Kabir (MSS-2017), Fariha Kadir and Md Mahfujur Rahman (MSS-2018) and Ashraful Kibria (BSS-2018). DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards among the students as the chief guest at Prof Dr Mohammad Habibullah Conference Hall of DU.
Akhtaruzzaman congratulated the recipients of the awards and said, “It is time to think about how we will adapt ourselves to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We need to create world-class graduates who will contribute to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

Director of the Institute of Health Economics of DU Prof Dr Nasrin Sultana presided over the programme while Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Sadeka Halim and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Shibli Rubayat ul Islam addressed it as special guests.
