Police recovered four bodies of a family from their residence at Goledighirpar of Cox’s Bazar municipality on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Suman Chowdhury, 40, a cosmetics shop owner of the area, his wife Baby Chowdhury and their two daughters – Abantika Chowdhury, 5, and Jhoti Chowdhury, 3.
Raj Bijhari, Suman’s neighbour, also counselor of Cox’s Bazar municipality, told UNB that finding
no response from the house, the neighbours broke the door in the evening and found four bodies in the house. Of those, body of Suman was found hanging while those of his wife and two daughters were found lying on the floor.
Being informed, police recovered the bodies from the house, said Ranjit Kumar Barua, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Police Station.
Primarily, it is being suspected that Suman killed his wife and daughters and later he committed suicide, added the OC.
