The 12th founding anniversary of Law Faculty of the Southern University of Chittagong was observed on Saturday last with day-long programmes at a city community hall.
Chairman of Bangladesh Human Rights commission Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman graced the anniversary function as chief guest duly presided over by the Advisory Professor of Law Department Prof. Moinuddin Khaled.
Among others, Vice Chancellor of Sothern University Dr. Md. Nurul Mostafa, founder of SU Sarwar Jahan, Pro-VC Dr. Md. Sharifuzzaman, Trusty Board member of SU Md. Liaquat Ali Chowdhury, Prof. Kamaluddin, Vice Chancellor of BGC Trust University SK Hazari, former VC Prof. AJM Nuruddin Chowdhury, Registrar Dr Israt Jahan, senior lawyers of Chittagong Bar , teachers and students of SU were present on the occasion, a sources said.
In his brief deliverations, chief guest Dr Mizanur Rahman said there is no alternatives of education and the teachers are the architects of nation and the overall development of the country is not possible depriving the legitimate rights of the people.
