Leaders of Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP) said that the present government has failed to ensure fair right of water sharing from India due to its ‘submissive foreign policy’. Other governments in the last 43 years of independence also failed to ensure the right of water, they added.
They were speaking at a discussion at Nayapaltan in the city on Monday, arranged by Bangladesh Krishak NAP, a front body of Bangladesh NAP, to mark its 7th founding anniversary.
NAP secretary general M Gulam Mostafa Bhuiyan addressed the function as the chief guest with Swapan Kumar Saha in the chair. MM Aminur Rahman, acting secretary general of Bangladesh Kalyan Party, NAP leaders Syed Shahjahan Saju, Md Kamal Bhuiyan, Shahidunnabi Dablu, Al Amin Bhuiyan Ripon, Md Shah Alam, Tofazza Hossain Vanu, MN Shaon Sadeki, Sheikh Enamul Hasan Tanim also addressed the function, among others.
