The 49th founding anniversary of the Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) and Mass Engineering Day were observed in a befitting manner in Chapainawabganj yesterday.
Chapainawabganj district unit of the organisation arranged a colourful procession and a rally to mark the Day.
Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj A Z M Nurul Haque inaugurated the procession as chief guest. Mayor of Chapainawabganj municipality Mohammad. Nazrul Islam, Principal of Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute engineer Md. Humayun Kabir Khan and Additional police super S A M Fazal-e- Khuda was present.
Starting from the Chapainawabganj Municipality premises the procession paraded the main roads of the town and ended at the office of the Public Works Department (PWD).
Presided over by the President of Chapainawabganj District Unit of IDEB and Executive Engineer of Chapainawabganj Municipality Md Sadequl Islam and others. addressed the rally.
