A three day Foundation training courses on Journalism was inaugurated at Chittagong Press Club (CPC) auditorium yesterday.
Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) and Chittagong Union of Journalists CUJ) jointly organized the training programme for the local journalists.
CUJ President Reaz Hayder Chowdhury presided over the inaugural session while Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mohammad Shamsul Arefin attended as the chief guest.
Deputy Commissioner said, mass media, as the mirror of the society, plays a vital role in creating awareness among the people.
CPC President Kolim Sarwar, General Secretary Shuklal Das, Vice President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Shahidul Alam, CUJ General Secretary Mohammad Ali, BFUJ Joint Secretary Tapan Chakoroborti, PIB Workshop coordinator Zilhaj Uddin Nipun, and’Ekattor Television’ Head of News Sayed Isteak Reza spoke on the occasion.
