Foundation stones of IU two new halls installed

Mahbubul Alam Hanif, member of Parliament and Joint Secretary general of Bangladesh Awami League installed the foundation stones of two 10 storied male and female halls of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia under Mega project on Wednesday.
He laid foundation stones of the project as the chief guest in an inauguration programme was held in front of Lalon Shah hall on the campus around 11:30 am.
Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam presided over the stones laying inauguration programme while its pro vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman and treasurer Prof Dr Alamgir Hossen Bhuiyan attended the event as the special guests.
IU Folklore Studies department chairman Dr Mithun Mostafiz moderated the ceremony and Former treasurer of the university was present here as the guest of honor.
Earlier, Hanif (MP) placed floral wreath at the feet of the Mrittunjoyee Mujib moral and planted saplings near the university central football grounds on the campus. IU Bangabandhu Parishad’s acting president, also proctor of the university Prof Dr Jahangir Hossen, its vice president Prof Dr Anowar Hossain, secretary general Prof Dr Mahbubul Arfin were present, among others.
