Alhaj Bakhshi Jahangir Ali Mia Uyechi, a prominent Islamic thinker and former principal of Cakharicaran village in Daulatpurupazila of Manikganj, passed away on September 10. He breathed his last at the 100-bed Corona Dedicated Hospital in Manikganj around 8 am on Friday (Inna Lillahi —- Rajiun). He was 81 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, two grandchildren and numerous admirers and devotees.
He was buried at the family graveyard at Chakharicharan village in Daulatpurupazila. His first janaza held at the Government Devendra College premises in Manikganj district town and second janaza held at the Barabari premises.
