Former two-time MP (Jatiya Party) Enamul Haque (Judge Miah), who has been living a life of inhumanity, has been offered a hand of humanity by Municipal Mayor SM Ibal Hossain Sumon.
On Saturday afternoon, Mayor SA.M.Ikbal Hossain Sumon handed over TK-50,000 from his personal fund to Judge Mia at a rented house in Saltia village in Ward 2 of Gafargaon municipal town.
Among others, convener of Sechchasebak League Aurang Helal, joint convener of Municipality Juba League Tajmun Ahmed, Ashraful Islam Apel and others were present at the time.
It may be mentioned that on October 26, the news was published in ‘Dainik Sangbad Pratidin’ under the headline ‘Statement of former two-time MP Judge Mia’. It raised a storm of discussion through social media. Local MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel came to notice. He instructed the municipal mayor to look into the matter.
The humanitarian mayor rushed to Judge Mia’s rented house in Saltia village and handed him a check for TK-50,000 in cash. Judge Mia, a former two-time member of parliament, burst into tears. At one time he had lost all his power, money, wealth, honor and he was living in a small rented room with a wife and children. At that time, the mayor reached himTK-50,000. Mayor Sumon set a shining example of humanity.
