Former Home Minister and Awami League presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun has been undergoing treatment at the United Hospital in the capital for several days.
Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua on Saturday said she was admitted to the hospital a few days back with fever, allergy and old-age-related complications.
He said the health condition of Sahara Khatun is now stable.
Biplob said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has enquired about her health from the authorities concerned.
The former minister may have to stay at the hospital for a few more days, he added.
Awami League has urged the country’s people to pray for the veteran and dedicated leader for her speedy recovery.
