Former General Manager (GM) of Daily Ittefaq and veteran journalist Khandaker Shahadat Hossain passes away at a hospital in Rampura in the capital on Sunday (April 4). He was 75.
He left behind his wife, two daughters and numerous relatives, friends, colleagues and admirers. He was also a senior member of the National Press Club, had been suffering from various diseases due to old age for a long time.
Khandaker Shahadat Hossain was born on 7 December 1945 in Bamna, Borguna district.
Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia, the founder of Daily Ittefaq, was the brother-in-law of the late Shahadat Hossain. His elder brother is BNP vice-chairman and senior lawyer Khandaker Mahbub Hossain.
