Former England boss Peter Moores has been appointed head coach at Nottinghamshire, the struggling English county announced Tuesday.
Moores, who has been a consultant to the Trent Bridge club since July 2015, will take up the newly-created position on October 1 after signing a three-year deal with the Midlands side. He will take over the daily running of the 1st XI from Mick Newell, who will now broaden his remit while continuing as Nottinghamshire’s director of cricket.
