A case has been lodged before the Senior Judicial Magistrate, Banskhali of Chattogram against former city mayor of Chattogram Mahmudul Islam chowdhury for attacking the religious sentiment. Upazila Puja Udjapon Parishad leader SwapanKumar Das lodged the case yesterday before the court of senior judicial magistrate Mainul Islam. Lawyer of the plaintiff Adv Nurul Absar apprised the filing of case under section 228 of BPC and OC Banskhali thana police has been asked to submit the inquiry report by next one month, sources said.
