Former banker sued for misappropriation

Anti-Corruption Commission, Chittagong chapter filed a corruption case against a former Bank officer and another business magnet of Chittagong before the Baizid thana in city on Monday evening.
 Asstt. Director of ACC, Chittagong HM Rahmatullah filed this case as plaintiff. Officer of Inchasrge of Baizid thana Babul Chandra confirmed the matter of legal suit against them.
The accused in the case are former Manager of Rupali Bank Ltd of cantonment branch Md.Delwar Hossain(60) and a businessman of char Chaktai Md. Shamsul Alam (65).ACC sources said one businessman Shamsul Alam borrowed loan of Tk.2 crores 2 lakh 55 thousands from Cantonment branch of Rupali Bank in 1994 of which trader Shamsul Alam did not pay Tk.1,15,79,618 aimed at misappropriation of the bank money in cooperation of the former Bank manager, sources said. Later ACC filed the case under section 409/109 of Corruption Act of 1947 before police, sources said.
