A mobile court in Chittagong in a sudden raid in Pathergatha fishery ghat in city recovered formalin mixed 400 kgs sea fishes from the vendors.
Two fish traders were detained and realized penalty of Tk.3 thousand from them and seized the fishes. The detained fish traders are Nazir Ahmad and Hossain Ahmed. The mobile court so conducted led y Exeutive Magistrate Anisul Islam . Deputy Director of Chittagong Fisheries Department Prabati Dev was also present on the spot.
DOF sources said govt restricted catching , transportation, selling and stocking of Jatka fish from November 1 to 30 june and on the occasion of Jatka Preservation week-2014 , the drive against the fish market was enforced , sources said.
