The prosecution at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Monday submitted formal charge against alleged Razakar duo from Shariatpur, Solaiman Mollah and Idris Ali.
Prosecutor Hrishikesh Saha flanked by his junior colleague Sheikh Mushfiq Kabir,
submitted the formal charge bringing four charges of crimes against humanity against the accused.
Of the accused, only Solaiman is now in the custody of police as his cohort is still on run.
“Of the four charges, we have brought three charges against them for carrying out
genocide and the remaining one is for deportation,” prosecutor Saha told BSS.
Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of ICT-1, set November 25 to pass order, whether to take the charges into cognizance or not.
The ICT-1 set the date, rejecting a bail plea for Solaiman.
