Forging unity to flourish journalism underscored

Journalists leaders at a programme called for forging unity of journalist community for practicing better and objective journalism in the country.
All journalists should maintain their professional ethics and commitment by maintaining norms of journalism to make better contribution to development of the country, they told the function held at the National Press Club auditorium in the city on Friday.
A faction of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists(BFUJ) organized the members’ morning function for the new members of the National Press Club.
Press Club President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman ,General Secretary Quamrul Islam Chowhdury, veteran journalists Amanullah, Muhammad Qamruzzaman, Zakaria Pintu, Azizul Islam Bhuiyan and BFUJ Secretary General Syed Mesbahuddin Ahmed, among others, addressed the function chaired by BFUJ President Golam Mohiuddin Khan.
Several hundred new members took part in the programme. The entire club auditorium wore a festive look where veteran members shared their lifetime experience with the freshers who in turn shed lights on their own expectations.
