First become a competent government to save us from corona deaths. The people do not find the government efficient in doing any good successfully. The false propaganda of success has created mess in every public sector. In last twenty four hours till Wednesday Bangladesh recorded the sharpest rise in corona cases. The confirmed corona cases by now have exceeded 98 thousand.
The government has failed to organise proper coordination to be helpful to the people in providing them with the minimum healthcare facilities. For the VIP people there are special hospitals like Combined Military Hospital to treat them at government expense with public money. Private hospitals charge so exorbitantly that even middle class people cannot afford them. The financial crisis is no consideration.
Their humanity shines at a time of crisis. Such shining examples are rare in Bangladesh. The government has destroyed the value system by freedom of corruption. The corrupt ones have all the facilities.
We know criticising is no good-only annoying the people in power. Let them use their eyes to see and ears to hear. Still we want the government to be effective.
Nobody believes the government has the right people for doing any good to education. It is learned the authorities may extend the academic calendar for primary and secondary students till February next year to overcome academic losses caused by school closure over Covid-19. Other alternatives like syllabus and holiday cuts and longer class hours are also being considered, said officials as per a local daily report.
Undoubtedly due to the closure, educational activities of more than 3.5 crore primary- and secondary-level students are being hampered. Half yearly exams at the secondary schools and first terminal exams at the primary schools have also been cancelled. In a bid to minimise the losses, the government started airing classes on Sangsad TV for secondary students on March 29, for primary students on April 7, and for technical and madrasa students on April 19.
Under this government we have how the government universities were freely available to torture people to earn money. The Vice-Chancellors, other administrative authorities and teachers knew but for loyalty they forgot their academic responsibility. Everything that is bad in bad people came out under this government in the worst form.
Our plea is please improve the efficiency of the government for saving lives. Practice austerity accept voluntary cuts from the benefits you are taking from public funds when many poor people are finding it hard to get one meal a day.
Please be human and do not depend on police cases for running the government. Violence of the government has made society violent. Any sensible government knows the importance of government obeying the law. But government does not care to obey the law.
Even in this terrible time of crisis the government’s youth wing is busy with their muscle power activities to harass and extort money. Crimes and lawlessness are engulfing the nation.
