The foresters rescued four crocodiles and a deer from Hariñatana area of the eastern part of the Sundarbans on Sunday night .
The Forest Department claimed that they could not arrest the persons involved in smuggling and they fled inside the forest.
According to Forest Department, the forest guards of Hariñatana Tahalpuri tried to intercept after seeing a sandy boat during regular patrol. Two smugglers escaped inside the forest. Later, the boat recovered two crocodiles, one surviving deer and crocodile hunting weapons. A forest worker said on condition of anonymity, the chain is very strong. They secretly entered into the deep forest .
