Coast Guard forces in Chittagong recovered huge quantities of foreign wine worth about Taka one crore from outer berth of Chittagong port on Thursday night .
Coast Guard sources said acting on secret information, forces conducted raid in outer berth and chased a suspected engine boat . Sensing the presence of coast guard forces, the smugglers fled away quickly leaving the contraband wine in the boat.
Coast Guard handed over this seized wine to the concerned police station in presence of the Narcotics Department officials.
A case under the narcotics act is filed accordingly, sources said. The seized wine consists of 1800 bottles of different brands, sources said.
