Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said that the members of the law enforcing agencies, including police identified most of the local sources who had financed militant activities across the country.
The process to find out the foreign financiers is underway.
The DMP Chief made the remarks while distributing warm clothes to the poor people in city’s Azimpur Government Girls School on Wednesday.
“After the July 1 Gulshan Café attack, we arrested some of the persons who gave shelters and patronized the militants,” he claimed.
The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit members are still investigating one or two incidents, but yet to get any clue about the foreign sources who were behind militant activities of the country, he added.
