The Department of Pharmacy of Northern University (NUB) initiated research works in collaboration with several top ranking national and international universities and research institutions, such as University of Montreal, Newcastle University, Inje University, University of Helsinki, University of Tarto, University of Dhaka, ICDDR’B, BCSIR and with several renowned pharmaceutical industries. The students of the Department begin their research work from their 6th semester and most of findings are published in peer-reviewed, high impact factor international journals, as well as in peer-reviewed local journals.
With accreditation from Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB), the Pharmacy Dept. of the university started journey in January, 2004. It offers a four-year undergraduate course in Pharmacy and enrolls students on a bi-semester basis, following the guidelines of PCB.
To become a Pharmacy graduate from this department, one requires completing 160 credit hours of theory and practical courses. The Department currently has 12 permanent faculty, 15 adjunct professionally renowned faculty and 8 efficient technical and administrative staffs.
The Department follows international standard course curriculum and the University Grand Commission’s grading system for evaluation.
