State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder distributed essential commodities and hand sanitizers to poor people in Mirpur area on Monday as the ongoing countrywide shutdown to contain the spread of coronavirus has halted their daily source of earning. Each day laborer received 10 kg rice, 2 kg pulse, 2 kg potato, one piece of soap and a tube of hand sanitizer , said an official release. Around 2,000 day laborers and destitute people received food items and sanitizers. Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Mojumder urged all to ‘stay at home’ to prevent the spread of the lethal coronavirus.
“Stay clean, wash your hands with soap frequently. Do not to go out of home without any urgency,” he added.
