Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam on Wednesday said the food management system would be recast through using modern technology.
“Bangladesh is now moving towards digitalization …So we want to bring the entire food management system under online procedure by making it digitalized,” said the minister at a workshop on ‘Food Stock and Market Monitoring System-Modern Food Storage Facilities Project’ at city’s CIRDAP auditorium.
He said the food distribution system would be brought under online monitoring and added that the food management system at all tiers across the country also will be controlled through online monitoring.
The on-line system, he said, would help us know the latest situation of food godowns and also the latest stock position.
Even the system would help know us about the daily food stock position, the minister said.
