UNB, Dhaka :The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested food controller of Naogaon Sadar Upazila Mohammad Ali red-handed on Tuesday in the act of taking bribe from a person.An 8-member team of ACC’s Rajshahi Office, led by its assistant director Rezia Khatun, conducted a raid at Naogaon Sadar Food Office and arrested Mohammad Ali while he was taking bribe at about 4:30 pm, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.He said, the owner of Sowrab Rice Mill located in Naogaon earlier went to local food office to withdraw security money of hisrice mill, but Mohammad Ali demanded Tk 50,000 as bribe.The rice mill owner informed the matter to the ACC local office. As discussed with the ACC officials, he went to the Food Office again to give the bribe money to the food controller. And when the mill owner handed over the money to Mohammad Ali, the ACC team arrested him instantly.
