Food contamination needs to be addressed urgently: Rawshan

Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Rawshan Ershad yesterday said food contamination is needed to be addressed immediately.
“The government must be strong and take immediate actions to stop food contamination in the country to built a healthy nation,” she said while delivering her valedictory speech in the House before prorogation of the 12th session of the 10th parliament. The opposition leader congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her pragmatic and farsighted leadership and achievement of the United Nation’s awards “Planet 50-50 Champion” and “Agent of Change Award”. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was awarded the honor for her outstanding contributions to male-female equality and women empowerment. Rawshan congratulated Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy for achieving “ICT for Development Award, 2016” in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the people of Bangladesh through implementation of “Digital Bangladesh” initiative. The leader of the opposition called upon the government to further improve the quality of Internet for the greater national interest.
She also urged the government to develop the education and health sectors for improving the standard of education and health services.
