The Followers of Mirzarkhill Darbar Sharif of Sakkhania upazila, Chilcilia Aliya Jahangir Peer and Shah Sufi Darbar Sharif of Chandanish Upazila has started Holy Ramzan s (fasting) from today in line with their tradition, heritage and time of the Middleeast.
People of 31 villages from the followers of Mirzakhill, and Shahsufi of Elahabad Darbar Sharif start their fasting every year before one or two days ahead after sighting the new moon in the country, Darbar sources informed.
The villages where fasting has start from today are Patiya, Chandanish, Satkania, Anwara, Banskhali, Chakaria, Sitakhunda, Feni and Fatikchhari.
Meanwhile, at least 2,000 followers of Silsilia Alia Jahangir Pir Darbar Sharif and Momtajir Darbar Sharif under Chandhaniash upazila has also started fasting form yesterday.
