Staff Reporter :For the first time in the country a folk music contest titled ‘Banglar Gaan 2015’ will kick off soon.This was announced at a press conference held at Channel i office in the city’s Tejgaon area on Thursday. Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor and Director of BRAC Dairy and Food Enterprise Towfiqur Rahman presented details of the competition at the conference.Singers Rizia Parvin, Rathindranath Roy, Shahnaz Belly, Selim Chowdhury, Hyder Husyn, Joler Gaan, among others, were also present on the occasion.Organisers said that a total of 120 contestants where 15 contestants from each division will be selected primarily after audition round. Later 48 will be selected for next round. Finally top 12 will compete in the final round. The 27-epiosde-reality show will go on air on Channel i at 7:50pm from December 7.
