Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has announced of taking part in the next general elections again from the Sylhet-1 parliamentary constituency.
He made the announcement while replying to a question of journalists after taking part in a relief and cash money distribution program among the tea labors in Sylhet Sadar Upazila Complex on Friday.
Muhith said that he is hundred per cent optimistic about contesting the next polls for Sylhet 1 constituency.
Speaking at the program, the senior leader of ruling Awami League called upon the tea laborers to vote for Awami League’s symbol ‘boat’ in the next polls to continue the development projects.
Sylhet Sadar Upazila chairman Ashfak Ahmed, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of the upazila Kaizar Md Farabi and general secretary Sylhet district Awami league Shafiqur Rahman also attended the program, among others.
Before joining the program, the finance minister visited the venue of proposed Sylhet Medical University.
