Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Friday said Bangladesh and India need to put heads together and think of ways to strengthen and deepen their unique bilateral relations.
“It’s our firm commitment to set an example of good neighborliness in the region and thereby create a legacy for our posterity,” he said while addressing the council of Bangladesh-India Friendship Society at
Dhaka University’s Senate Bhaban.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pankaj Saran, Convener of the Society Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, DU Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique and Society member secretary Subir Kushari, among others, spoke on the occasion.
He said the two neighbouring countries are increasingly getting interlinked through engagements in almost all conceivable sectors of cooperation. “The engagement is intense at all levels, from the highest political leadership to officials down to the common people.”
