Flood causes huge damage in Chakoria

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman MP said, the floods in Chakoria-Pekua Upazila have caused huge damage recently.
 The dam of Water Development Board, roads, ferries, bridges and culverts have gone under water and people on both sides of the Matamuhuri River are facing losses.
 Many of the houses have been drained into the river. Zafar Alam, a Member of Parliament, is in constant touch with various ministries to deal with the floods.
 He said these while visiting the affected areas after floods in Chakria-Pekua and distributing relief recently .
 The Minister also said that the families will be given home . These temporary misdeeds can only be applied.
Planned roads, bridges, culverts will be protected from floods. We are not poor now, Bangladesh is known to the world as a rich country. We have $ 1 billion in food deposits.
He distributed relief materials among the affected people to monitor flood situation in Chakriya in Cox’s Bazar. He distributed relief goods to the people at the BMChar union of the upazila at 8am, flood victims at Lakharchar and Kakara union at 12 noon.
