Thick fog halted the flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) for six hours on Monday.
Flights have been resumed around 9:44am after a six-hour disruption caused by thick fog.
HSIA Deputy Director Beni Madhab Biswas confirmed it to the journalists.
The Deputy Director said, “flights on domestic routes remained suspended since 3:30am for six hours for the foggy weather.”
Besides, three international flights were delayed while a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines was diverted to Kolkata instead of Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport for the same reason.
Khairul Kabir, Assistant Manager of Shah Amanat International Airport said,” A flight of Biman flew from Muscat of Oman failed to land its station on Shah Amanat and diverted to Kolkata.”
