Mustafizur Rahman has made a big leap to enter into the top five ranks of ICC ODI bowling rankings. Other Bangladeshi players have also made progress in the rankings after the end of Bangladesh-Windies ODIs.
The Fizz moved five places to no.5 in the rankings. He has career-best 695 points against his name, seven points less than no.4 Kagiso Rabada’s 702. The left-arm seamer took five wickets in three ODIs against the Windies.
Skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is ranked 23rd with 593 points, moving 10 slots up. Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz jumped 19 places to 28th (578 points). Both took six wickets each in the series. Shakib Al Hasan is only other Bangladeshi in top 30 chart – ranked 26th with 584 points.
Mushfiqur Rahim is jointly placed 15th with Tamim Iqbal in the batting rankings. Mushfiqur attained a career-best 712 points. Soumya Sarkar has moved 10 places to no.42 (575 points). Shakib is placed 33rd with 603 points while Mahmudullah Riyad dropped to 44th (562 points) in the rankings.
The Player of the Series Shai Hope has taken a leap of 17 places to no.8 with career-best 780 points. He aggregated 297 runs at 297.00 including two hundreds.
Shakib has leapfrogged Mohammad Nabi to move second in all-rounder rankings. The ace all-rounder has 352 points, just a point short of no.1 Rashid Khan. Besides, Mahmudullah (30th), Mustafizur (32nd) and Mehidy (38th) have made improvement in all-rounder rankings.
