Locals detained five Rohingyas men and women in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar during trafficking by NGO Human Terryn on Thursday. The arrestees are Md Juba (30), son of Karim Ullah of Kutupalong Camp-3, Humayra (20), daughter of Kalim Ullah, Arefha Begum (17), daughter of Sona Mia, Nur Begum (18) and Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Khalil, recognized as the Rohingya.
Local people of Ukhia complained that many NGOs are trafficking Rohingya women and children in different refugee camps in Ukhia of Cox’s Bazar. These complaints are not taking concentration of administration or the concerned authorities.
At least five Rohingya women and two men were handed over to the Ukhia Police Station during a trafficking of Rohingya women at around 7:30 pm on Thursday. These NGOs have been trafficking Rohingya women, men and children in various ways for a long time.
Local people detained five Rohingyas from NGO named Humani Terra’s vehicle, in a Mosque Market area at Ukhia bus station on Thursday evening. Locals complain that Rohingys were being transported to the unknown places in the NGO’s micro bus with their staffs.
