Five players shared the top slot in the second round of the UCCC Standard Rating Chess with full five points held on Tuesday at Maleka Banu Bidyaniketon in the city’s Uttara.
They are former national chess player Shafiq Ahmed, Moniruzzaman Moni, Mollah Mohiuddin, Shamsul Alam and Sohag Hosain.
Five players shared the second position with 1.5 points. They are Hanif Mollah, Rahi Masum, M Hasan, Nasim Al Islam and Rezawanul Haque Khan, said a Uttara Central Chess Club press release.
