Five players shared lead in the points table of the Azimuddin Bhuiyan 33rd National Sub-Junior (Under-16 Years) Chess Championship with maximum three points after 3rd round games now being held at Chess Federation Hall Room of National Sports Council.
They are FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Pirajpur, Akib Jawad of Chittagong, Rabbi Mridha, M Raphael Kabir, M Surat Alam, Swarnavo Choudhury and Tahsin Mahmud.
Oyon Nur Newaz, Nova Tasha, Anata Choudhury, Subrata Biswas, Mir Ahanab Kabya shared the second slot with 2.5 points.
In the day’s third round games held Wednesday, Fahad beat M Raphael Kabir, Akib beat Surat Alam, Swarnavo beat Abdullah Al Sharhan Saikat, Tahsin Azmain Inqiad Adeeb, Rabbi beat Fardina Hossain Arena, Nova split points with Oyon, Anata Rafshan Bin Omer, Subrata beat Al-Amin and Kabya beat Ahanaf Jamil.
The fourth round games will be held today (Thursday) at the same venue.
