Five players are sharing lead in the points table with full 2 points after the end of 2nd round games of the 8th Begum Laila Alam International Rating Women Chess tournament now being held at the Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall room.
They are WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, WIM Rani Hamid, WFM Zakia Sultana and Farjana Hossain Annie.
In the day’s 2nd round games held today (Monday), Shirin beat Jahanara Haque Runu, Eva beat Protiva Talukder, Rani Hamid beat Kazi Apurba, Zakia beat Senjida Sakib and Annie got walk-over against Khondoker Sumaiya.
