Five more matches of the EXIM Bank 29th National Women’s Handball competition were decided on the second day (Wednesday) at Shaheed M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city.
On the second day of the competition, Noagaon district Sports Association (DSA) beat Dinajpur DSA by 27-09 goals after leading the first half by 13-06 goals, Panchagarh DSA defeated Faridpur DSA by 15-08 goals after dominating the first half by 6-5 goals, Dhaka District Sports Association outclassed Narail DSA by 20-1 goals after leading the first half by 11-1 goals, Bangladesh Police Handball team overpowered Kushtia DSA by 23-03 goals after dominating the first half by 14-2 goals and Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation beat Jamalpur DSA by 30-17 goals after leading the first half by 15-11 goals.
Sponsored by EXIM Bank, a total of 14 district and services teams are taking part in the meet.
The participating teams are – Feni, Jamalpur, Noagaon, Narail, Panchagarh, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Dinajpur, Chuadanga, Kushtia DSAs, and Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Police and Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation.
Earlier, State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahasan Russell, MP, formally inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.
