Coronavirus outbreak: Five more die, 182 test positive in 24hrs

Five more coronavirus patients died in the last 24 hours, while 182 people tested positive in the country, said Health Minister Zahid Malik on Monday in a press briefing through video conference in Dhaka.
It was the highest number of discovery with the infection in a single day so far in the country, raising the total number of infected patients to 803.
The Minister said that 1,570 samples were tested in 17 testing centers across the country in the last 24 hours.
Three patients recovered since Sunday-the total recovery being 42.
“The community transmission has started in our country. So everyone should stay at home and abide by the guidelines of the government to avoid contraction,” the Minister urged.
“Many of our residents are violating lockdown and frequently going out without any valid reason. But we have to be careful so that it does not grow,” the Minister said.
Besides, Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said during the briefing that the number of tests conducted in the last 24 hours was 17 percent higher than those done in the previous day.
She said that 5,684 people were put in home quarantine across the country, 484 in institutionalized quarantine in the last 24 hours, and 299 were kept in isolation during the time, she added, saying that 488 facilities have been kept ready for keeping people on quarantine.
About 2, 63, 352 people have access to those facilities.
