At least five persons including a child were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Wednesday.
In Sherpur, a minor child was killed and four others seriously injured in a tragic road accident at Matiapara of Jhenaigati of the district on Wednesday morning.
The child was identified as Nusaiba, daughter of Jamal Mia from Matiapara in Jhenaitati of the district, Sherpur Correspondent said.
Local Sources said, Nusaiba was crossing the road and at that time a CNG auto- rickshaw ran over her . She died on spot.

After the accident the auto rickshaw fell down nearby ditch. On information, police and fire service team reached the spot and arrested the accused Atiqur Rahman, the auto rickshaw driver. Officer-in-Charge of Jhenaigati thana Abu Bakkar Siddique confirmed matter to the media.
In Dhaka, a pedestrian named Rabbani Khokon,45, was killed when a vehicle hit him on the Hare Road under Ramna area early Wednesday.
Mostafizur Rahman, Sub-Inspector of Ramna Police Station told the matter to the media. In Pirojpur, a fisherman named Hanif Gazi,55, was killed when a covered van hit him in Kawkhali of the district on Wednesday.
In Gazipur, a RMG worker named Sohel Rana,32, was killed when a bus hit him in city’s Kasem textile area on Wednesday.
