Five persons were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Dhaka and Chittagong districts on Friday.
In Dhaka, a bus helper was killed when a bus ran over him on a road near the office of Fire Service and Civil Defense in Mirpur-10 around 5:00am.
The deceased was identified as Rasel, 22, from Rajapur upazila in Jhalakathi.
Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Police Station Nazrul Islam told The New Nation that they had sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, four persons were killed and four others injured in two separate road accidents in
Sitakunda and Hathazari upazilas of Chittagong on Friday morning.
Two motorcyclists Apu Das, 25, and Bidyut Das, 27, died in Sitakunda while two auto-rickshaw passengers Rokeya Begum, 40, and an unknown man at Hathazari, our Chittagong Correspondent reports quoting police.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
