Another person, who suffered injuries in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus in Madhukhali upazila on Friday night, died at Faridpur Medical College Hospital early Saturday, raising the death toll to five.
The deceased could not be identified yet.
Officer-in-charge of Madhukhali Police Station Ruhul Amin said the Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ from Khulna collided with the microbus coming from the opposite direction at Kajirpara around 11:00 pm.
The accident left three inmates of the microbus, including its driver and a bus passenger, dead on the spot and leaving five others from both the vehicles injured.
The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries.
Later, another injured died at 1:00 am.
