At least five activists were injured in clash over formation of Banaripara upazila BNP committee under Barisal district on Saturday noon.
The incident was happened at the courtyard of central BNP leader Sarfuddin Santu at Guthia under Wazirpur upazila.
Witnesses said during discussion about formation of committee, some activists questioned for seven years delay in holding biannual council and asked to form committee by the activists who had sacrificed for the party.
Then factions divided on these issues started altercation and clash with lethal weapons.
Ebaidul Huq Chan, Abul Kalam Azad, district BNP president and secretary, Sarfuddin Santu, central executive committee member, were present at that time.
