Detective Branch of police in separate drives have arrested five persons along with drugs in Sirajganj district.
The detained persons are Monirul Islam, 42, Abdul Mannan Pramanik, 35, Shamim Hossain, 35, Habibur Rahman, 38, and Riazul Islam Bura, 45.
They were sent to jail following a court order on Friday morning.
District DB OC Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter on Friday morning.
Police detained them from Mulibari Checkpost area of Saydabad union under Sadar upazila and Golchattar area of Hatikumrul under Solonga Police Station on Thursday night.
A total of 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablets and 5 kgs of hemp were detained during the drives.
