Staff Reporter :Five parties of the BNP-led 20-party alliance have protested the comment of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) executive president Moinuddin Khan Badal and strongly criticised him for his unwanted comment. Secretary generals of the parties on Wednesday in a joint statement urged all to counter the arrogant leaders like Badal, who tarnished the image of the Parliament by making such comment, as the JSD leader is now a ruling alliance MP of the ‘illegal’ Parliament. Clump Badal on Tuesday said, police would beat up BNP activists and then shoot them in the legs, if necessary in the chests, to maintain law and order. The leaders of the five parties also came down heavily on Badal for his derogatory comments about BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. “The JSD leader is one of the sycophants of the ruling Awami League. He became MP with the blessing of the Awami League. For this reason, he is delivering such comment to please the Awami League,” they said in the statement. Golam Mustafa Bhuiyan of Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP), MM Aminur Rahman of Bangladesh Kalyan Party, Hamdullah-al-Mehdi of Bangladesh Labour Party, senior joint secretary general of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Shahdat Hossain Selim and senior joint secretary general of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Abdul Matin issued the statement.
